Hot "Core" Yoga:
Hot Core Yoga is a great class for those that suffer with back, neck, hip discomfort, or the inability to relax. Hot Core Yoga is wonderful for those just starting yoga. The class is designed to encourage sweat. Recommended for the Baby Boomers and Students of All Levels and Ages! The room is set at a warm temperature to help prevent injury and allow a deeper workout. Be sure to bring a bottle of water and a towel.
Partner Yoga:
Creating fun with Partner Yoga: Come and experience the effects of partner yoga with the feeling of being grounded and supported in the yoga postures. Partner yoga is also fun! In this class you will work with a partner to explore poses in depth and to help on another with adjustments to feel the flow of prana (life force). You do not need to come with a partner.
Introduction to Yoga:
8-week session of introductory classes explaining the history, background and foundation of yoga poses is what is taught in these series. Perfect sessions to get introduced to yoga and to get to know other first time yogis.
Weight Loss Yoga:
12-week session of introduction to yoga classes for promoting weight loss and self acceptance also using energy psychology and meditation.
Mindful Meditation:
A 30 minute Meditation class teaching different mindful meditation techniques: mindful walking, mindful breathing, heart meditation, and silent stillness meditation. All these techniques are tools to shift your awareness to the "now" of yourself.
Fusion:
Power yoga and Pilates movements combined makes a very high energy flowing class that ends with 15 minutes of deep relaxation. Intermediate level. length: 60 min.
Yoga Mix:
The mixed level yoga classes offer something for everyone and are perfect for the yogi who likes variety in his/her practice. Each class is unique, incorporating a blend of yoga styles to open the body and release tension and stress. The class includes meditation, breathing, and postures for increasing strength and flexibility. Students are encouraged to go at their own pace as multiple modifications are shown (including more difficult variations for the intermediate and advanced students.) Classes are suitable for all levels. length: 75 min.
Senior/anti aging Yoga:
A class appropriate for the mature student as well as the student with special physical conditions and limitations. This class focuses on postures, breathing, and flexibility. It is designed to combat the effects of aging.
Weight Loss Yoga:
A 12-week yoga series geared towards supporting, encouraging and guiding students on their path to weight loss using energy psychology. Weight Loss Using Energy Psychology workshop is being offered at our studio. This session begins the following week.
Morning Yoga:
Start your day with an energizing and gratifying yoga practice! This practice is great for all levels.
Yoga Level I:
Basic yoga postures and movements. Great for all levels. Pre-requisite for Yoga Level II.
Yoga Level II:
A moderately paced intermediate class which builds strength, stamina, flexibility, and concentration. Continued emphasis on breathing and healthy alignment.
Meditation:
A beginner level and a guided meditation class. Emphasis is on concentrating on directing the flow of energy in different areas of the body. We focus on our breath as it is our North Star. We seek stillness as we are guided through this class.
Beginner Yoga/Introduction to yoga:
This class is perfect for the beginner or student seeking a more gentle approach to their yoga practice. Students can learn about yoga postures and techniques while opening their minds and bodies. Students leave class feeling balanced and open with a deeper, first-hand understanding of the basic principals and benefits of yoga. Classes are great for beginners but are suitable for all levels.
Power Yoga:
“Vinyasa” yoga is a mindful flow from one posture (asana) to the next linked with deep “ujayyi pranayama” breathing. This rigorous power flow class is fun, fast paced, physically challenging and will make you sweat as you get strong and in shape. Classes are designed for the fit intermediate and advanced student.
Ashtanga Yoga:
Vinyasa yoga usually referred to in the west as “power yoga”, emphasizes Vinyasa, or breath-synchronized movement, a combining a progressive series of physical postures with deep breathing called “Ujayyi pranayama”. The Ashtanga Vinyasa (flowing movements) yoga system places equal emphasis on strength, flexibility, and stamina and is thus one of the more challenging types of yoga. You will get a great physical workout during this beautiful flow. Classes can be modified for any level.
Teen Yoga:
Introducing yoga to teen-age-rs. All levels welcome!
Gentle Flow:
A very relaxing yet challenging flow suitable for all levels. 75 min.
Core Yoga:
Students are encouraged to concentrate on the core to increase awareness and strength using different methods. This class deepens the student’s yoga practice. Suitable for all levels.
Power Flow:
Series of Sun Salutations are repeated with a variety of poses in between in this class. The flow of this class makes it an energizing and powerful class. Come unwind from your day and deeply relax before you go home! 75. min.
Restorative Yoga:
RY includes a general sequence of supported yoga poses and breathing techniques in order to heal the effects of chronic stress and to enhance immune function. These are poses of being rather than doing. Total relaxation of the body and mind is encouraged in a supportive environment with the use of props and guided visualizations. Restorative Yoga balances energy so that the student is neither over-stimulated nor depleted. (No yoga experience necessary)
